Christian Hoefler

In his ninth year and eighth season as Head Coach of Queen's Men's Soccer, Christian Hoefler led the Gaels back into the OUA Playoffs in 2022 after the team came up just short in 2021. Hoefler has led Queen's to the OUA Playoffs in seven of his eight seasons as Head Coach.

Hoefler is also the Club Head Coach with the Kingston Junior Gaels Soccer Club and is entering his seventh year in charge of developing over 2,000 soccer players in the Kingston region. In 2019, he was offered an Assistant Coach position with the Canadian Soccer FISU Games men's and women's teams.

Hoefler was Head Coach of the Kingston Clippers Men’s Team in League1 Ontario for two seasons (2015-2016), the Kingston Clippers Women’s Team in League1 Ontario for their only season in 2016.

Hoefler came to the Gaels from the Ottawa Fury Football Club where he served as Head Coach from 2007, and has his Canadian Soccer Association National "A" coaching license and is a member of the Coaching Association of Canada.
 
A former player, Hoefler represented Ontario at the 1996 U15's where he captured a national championship. In 1997, he served as the U18 captain for Ontario and competed with Canada's U17 team at the CONCACAF qualifiers in San Salvador, El Salvador.
