Shawn is a native of Ottawa, Ontario where he attended Sir Robert Borden HS. He returns for his fourth year on the staff as the Offensive Line coach.

He attended Eastern Arizona Jr College and Charleston Southern University where he graduated with a degree in Physical Education and History. He completed his Teacher Education degree at SUNY Potsdam and his Master’s in Education Leadership at Memorial in St John’s, NL. Shawn now works at Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) as an Advisor in Leadership and Talent Development.

Shawn was drafted in the fourth round of the 2001 CFL draft by the Montreal Alouettes. He played in the CFL for five years for teams including Saskatchewan Roughriders and Toronto Argonauts. Shawn, his wife Dr. Julie Anderson, and son Wyatt reside in Kingston.
