Ross has been the Queen’s football trainer since 1980, and also as the Coordinator of Athletic Therapy Services for Queen’s Athletics and Recreation until he semi-retired in August 2009.
He graduated from York University in 1975, where he played interuniversity rugby, and later attended Indiana State from 1977 to 1978. Prior to joining Queen’s, Ross was the Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ head trainer from 1978 to 1980. He has also worked at the 1976 Summer Olympics, 1980 and 1992 Winter Olympics, as well as the 1991 Pan American games.
In 2015 Ross was inducted into the Queen's Football Hall of Fame.
