Champagne returns to the Gaels staff for his third season leading the defensive line.
Currently a PhD/MD student, Champagne leads the research of the NeuroProtection project -- a study in collaboration with the Concussion Education Safety and Awareness Program and the Queen's Center for Neuroscience Studies (CESAP) -- designed to enhance coaching practices using cutting-edge technology.
Champagne joined the Gaels coaching staff in 2016 after being on the Tricolour roster in 2015. Before following his older brother Philippe to Queen's as a player, Champagne had a successful NCAA career at UNC as a lineman who also played special teams. A native of Verdun, Que., he attended Upper Canada College before earning the Morehead-Cain Scholarship to study at UNC.
