After 53 yrs of teaching, including 48 at same secondary coed private residential school in Hudson, Ohio teaching Spanish and coaching cross country, hockey, and track, I now spend some 7 months a year in Lima, Peru avoiding northern winters, with summers golfing in northern Vermont on Lake Champlain Islands. Climate, good friends, great food, and inexpensive cost of living make for a wonderful combination in this Pacific Ocean paradise. Walking, cycling, reading, theatre, movies, crosswords (in Spanish, of course) etc, help me while away the time. Since my first arrival in Peru in 1964, l have visited Cuzco/Machu Picchu at least a dozen times, and seen many other locales of interest in this amazing country, along with most of the rest of Latin America.
