Queen's Men's Soccer came up just short at home Sunday, falling 2–1 to the Trent Excalibur at Richardson Stadium.
After Trent opened the scoring in the 14th minute, the Gaels responded almost immediately. Franco Di Giovanni (Arts & Science) found the back of the net in the 15th minute, with Jacob Spizzirri (Economics) picking up the assist to bring Queen's level at 1–1.
Trent regained the lead later in the opening half, sending Queen's into the break trailing 2–1. The Gaels continued to push for the equalizer through the second half but were unable to find the breakthrough, with Trent holding on for the victory.
Catch your Queen's Gaels back in action on Friday, Sept. 11, when they host the Carleton Ravens at Richardson Stadium. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m., with free admission for all fans.
