Queen's Men's Soccer opened its 2026 campaign on the road in Ottawa, facing the Carleton Ravens in a tightly contested season-opening match up.
The Gaels battled from the opening whistle, holding their own throughout a competitive 90 minutes. Queen's remained composed defensively while continuing to press forward in search of opportunities, keeping the match within reach until the final whistle.
Despite a strong effort on the road, the Gaels were unable to find the equalizer, as Carleton held on for the narrow 1–0 victory.
Queen's will look to bounce back next weekend as the Gaels continue their road stretch in Toronto. They'll take on the Toronto Varsity Blues on Saturday, September 5, with kickoff set for 2:15 p.m.
