Queen's Football lost 25-22 to the Windsor Lancers Saturday afternoon at Richardson Stadium, their first loss of the season.
After the Lancers jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first quarter, Queen's responded and led 14-12 at half time. Windsor retook the lead, 18-14 after the third quarter and despite a comeback attempt in the fourth quarter, Queen's fell by three points.
Ashton St. Germain (Arts & Science) threw for 280 yards and a touchdown on 15-26 passing.
Logan Walton (Economics) had 99 receiving yards on two receptions while
Cedric Smith (Arts & Science) finished with five receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown.
On defence,
Jacob Baldwin (Economics) finished with a game-high eight tackles (seven solo, two assisted), and a sack.
Koen Hubbard (Arts & Science) recorded an interception for Queen's in the loss.
Despite the loss, Queen's remains on top of the OUA standings with a 5-1 record. Queen's is back at Richardson Stadium next weekend, taking on the Guelph Gryphons on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 1 PM in the Homecoming Game.
