Queen's Men's Hockey continued their weekend road trip with an East Division clash against the Carleton Ravens
The Ravens jumped out to an early lead, striking just 38 seconds into the first period. The Gaels answered late in the frame, as first-year forward Colin Holmes (Arts & Sciences) redirected a shot through the slot for his second goal of the season. Assists were credited to Ethan Peters (Applied Science) and Lucas Peric (Economics). After 20 minutes, the game was tied 1–1.
Carleton struck first in the second, cashing in on the power play to restore their one-goal lead at 2–1. The Gaels answered back at 6:27, as Ante Zlomislic (Applied Science) cleaned up a rebound off the rush, finishing a feed from Derek Hamilton (Arts & Sciences). Zlomislic stayed hot later in the frame, ripping a wrist shot on the man advantage to give Queen's their first lead of the night, 3–2. Helpers went to Ethan Larmand (Arts & Sciences) and Lucas Peric (Economics), with Peric notching his second point of the contest.
The Gaels blew the game open early in the third. Colin Holmes (Arts & Sciences) found soft ice in the slot and snapped home his second of the night just minutes into the frame, off feeds from William Bouwer (Arts & Sciences) and Aidan Castle (Arts & Sciences). Queen's kept rolling as Ante Zlomislic (Applied Science) completed the hat trick, finishing a well-worked sequence to make it 5–2, with assists from Ethan Larmand (Arts & Sciences) and Derek Hamilton (Arts & Sciences). With Carleton pressing late, Sam Marburg (Arts & Sciences) iced the game with an empty-netter, locking in a 6–2 Gaels win.
