Queen's Fastpitch opened their season this past weekend, opening the season 3-1 with two wins over the York Lions and a series split with the TMU Bold.
Game One Vs. York Lions

Abi Poland collected four hits in four at bats, as Queen's University Gaels defeated York University Lions 17-7 on Saturday. Poland doubled in the third inning, doubled in the first inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the third inning.

Sophia Vilchez earned the win for TMU Bold. The starter gave up five hits and four runs (three earned) over seven innings, striking out none and walking three. Maddie Hickingbottom took the loss for Queen's University Gaels. The starting pitcher went six innings, surrendering six runs (four earned) on 10 hits, striking out 11 and walking none.

Queen's University Gaels rallied to defeat TMU Bold 10-5 on Sunday. Queen's University Gaels trailed by as many as four runs during the game.
A home run to left field by Sophia Vilchez on an 0-2 count put TMU Bold on the board in the top of the first.
TMU Bold extended their early lead with three runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI errors by Kiyah Hurry and Vilchez.
Queen's University Gaels tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a single by
