The Queen's Gaels skated to a 2-0 victory over the Toronto Varsity Blues on Friday, October 17th, at the Kingston Memorial Centre.

The Gaels opened the scoring midway through the first period when Sophie Hudson (Chemical Engineering) found the back of the net, assisted by Rebecca Thompson (Environmental Science). Queen's maintained steady pressure throughout the game, keeping the Varisty Blues on the defensive.

With just minutes remaining in the third period, Alex Recsky (Health Sciences) extended the lead, assisted by Alysia Grotsky (Arts & Science), securing the win for the Gaels.

Goalie Emma Tennant (Mechanical Engineering) delivered a strong performance in net, stopping 18 shots to help the Gaels claim the victory.

The Gaels will look to carry their momentum into their next game as they host the Nipissing Lakers on Saturday, October 18th, at Kingston Memorial Centre.
