Interesting reffing calls early on in the game made for an intense match between the two teams as tensions rose in the second. Three's by Sikkema and Syllas brings the Gaels lead to 49-30, proving the Gaels are finding a magic touch at the arch tonight. Cummings is three for three at the arch and scored 11 points by the end of the second half. Throughout the season the Gaels have demonstrated a playing style which focuses on a strong and physical defensive pressure, which may produce more fouls although this method has proven more than successful through 10 games and against the Lakers this game. The first half of the game closes at 55-38 Gaels.
The third period brought more energy and offensive success for the Gaels as they scored a whopping total of 39 points. Engen with two layups and a three followed by Cummings and Krueger scoring from the arch defines the Gaels lead as ever-extending away from the Lakers.
