On Sunday, February 11, 2024, the Queen's Women's Hockey team faced off against the Toronto Varsity Blues and defeated them with a final score of 1-0. 

The first period consisted of many close scoring opportunities, but unfortunately falling short, closing off the period with a score of 0-0. 

The Gaels came back with fire in the second period, with Mikayla Cranney scoring a goal while on a powerplay for Queen's six minutes into the period, taking the lead with a score of 1-0. 

The Gaels kept their lead in the third period and defended any scoring attempts from the Varsity Blues, finishing the game with a 1-0 final score for Queen's. 

Emma Tennant, who played in net, had a total of 29 shots on goal, letting in zero.

After today's game, the Gaels' overall standing will rise to 13-13-0, and the women will be back in action on February 16, where they will face off against the York Lions in North York.
