Women's Volleyball up to No. 3, Men's Hockey up to No. 4 in U SPORTS Top 10 Rankings

Queen's Women's Volleyball and Men's Hockey each jumped one spot in the U SPORTS Top 10 Rankings this week, the final edition before the Winter Break, after both sweeping their pair of games this past weekend.

Queen's Women's Volleyball is up to No. 3 in the national rankings after two straight set wins over the Toronto Varsity Blues at the Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC) this weekend.

After defeating the Varsity Blues 3-0 (25-22, 25-12, 25-15) on Friday night, and 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-18), the Gaels improved their record to 11-1 on the season and sit in first place in the OUA standings.

U SPORTS Women's Volleyball Top 10

Queen's Men's Hockey jumped to No. 4 in the national rankings after home wins over the UQTR Patriotes, 3-2 on Friday night, and Waterloo Warriors, 3-2 on Saturday afternoon at the Memorial Centre.

The Gaels enter the Winter Break in second place in the OUA East Division standings with a 15-3-0-0 record.

U SPORTS Men's Hockey Top 10

Other Queen's teams placing in the U SPORTS Top 10 include Men's Volleyball and Men's Basketball.

Queen's Men's Volleyball fell one spot to No. 6 after splitting their weekend series with the Toronto Varsity Blues, while Queen's Men's Basketball remained at No. 9 after sweeping their weekend road series against the York Lions and McMaster Marauders.
