Queen's Women's Hockey fell to the Toronto Varsity Blues 3-2 in Toronto, Ont. on Friday night.
The Varsity Blues opened the scoring in the first period and took a three-goal lead in the third period.Â
Queen's made a late comeback attempt with two late goals in the third, with
Mikayla Cranney (Arts & Science) scoring an unassisted goal and
Sophie Hudson (Chemical Engineering) finding the back of the net on a goal assisted by
Alyson Reeves (Commerce).
The Gaels' comeback wasn't quite enough, as Queen's fell to the Varsity Blues by one goal.
With the decision, Queen's record fell to 1-7-0-0 on the season. The Gaels are back on the ice on Saturday, visiting the TMU Bold in Toronto at 2:15 p.m.
