Queen's Women's Basketball came up just short Saturday night in Ottawa, Ont., falling to the Carleton Ravens 73-68.
The Gaels trailed the Ravens by 13 points at half time and would cut the lead to five points heading into the fourth quarter, but that was as close as they would get, ultimately falling short to the first place Ravens.
Laura Donovan (London, Ont.) led Queen's offence with a game-high 31 points.
Julia Chadwick (Ottawa, Ont.) also scored in double digits, finishing with 16 points, and fell just two rebounds shy of a double double with eight boards in the loss.
Bridget Mulholland (Kingston, Ont.) recorded a game-high 13 rebounds for Queen's.
With the loss, the Gaels split their Ottawa road trip weekend and their record moved to 9-2. Queen's returns to the court next weekend, hosting the McMaster Marauders Friday night and York Lions Saturday night.
