KINGSTON, Ont. (Sept. 12, 2023) - Queen's Cheerleading's Sarah MacPherson has been named to the Team Canada Coed Premier training roster.

MacPherson is one of 40 athletes to be named to the training roster. Over the course of the next year, MacPherson will be travelling to training camps across Canada before 28 athletes are selected to travel to Florida for the International Cheer Union (ICU) World Championship in April 2024.

"When I found out I made the team I was so happy, and in a little bit of disbelief!" MacPherson said. "I can't believe I get to train with the best cheerleaders in the country. I'm so excited for this opportunity!"

"We want to send over a big congratulations to Sarah on her achievement," said Queen's Cheerleading coach Dave Wesley-James. "We're so happy that the consistent work ethic and drive she showcases daily within our program has blossomed into this amazing opportunity. We're very excited to see how far Sarah can take her Cheer career and thankful that she's able to help expand the Gaels impact at the international level."
