Queen's finishes fourth at OUA Women's Curling Championship, Sarah McCutcheon named All-Star

Queen's Women's Curling finished fourth at the OUA Women's Curling Championship this past weekend in Oshawa, Ont., just narrowly missing the podium to the TMU Bold in the the bronze medal match.

After finishing 3-1 in Pool D in round robin play, the Gaels advanced to the quarterfinals. Queen's opened the tournament with a 16-2 victory over the York Lions, before a 6-4 win over the McMaster Marauders, a 9-0 win over the Algoma Thunderbirds, and a 7-3 loss to the Laurier Golden Hawks.

In the quarterfinals, Queen's defeated the Brock Badgers 5-4 before losing to the eventual champion Marauders 8-1 in the semfinals.

The Gaels were edged by TMU 6-5 in the bronze medal game.

Queen's Lead Sarah McCutcheon was named a Second Team OUA All-Star for their performance over the weekend.
