Queen's Women's Hockey fell to the York Lions 3-2 Saturday night in Toronto, Ont.
The Lions opened the scoring midway through the first period and scored the first three goals of the game.
The Gaels staged a comeback with Scout Watkins-Southward scoring midway through the second period on a goal assisted by
Alicia Juras and
Alex Maw and
Emma McKnight scoring scoring early in the third on a goal assisted by
Quinn Johnston.Â
That was as close as Queen's would come however, with the Lions holding on for the one-goal win.
With the loss, Queen's record fell to 5-9-6-4. The Gaels currently sit third in the OUA East Division standings.
Queen's will return to the ice next weekend, hosting the Laurier Golden Hawks on Friday, Feb. 10 and the Western Mustangs on Saturday, Feb. 11. Tickets for both games can be purchased on the
