Queen's Women's Basketball defeated the York Lions 74-68 Sunday afternoon in Toronto, Ont.

After a back and forth contest through the first three quarters, Queen's pulled ahead of York down the stretch, outscoring the Lions by six points in the fourth quarter for the six-point win.

Julia Chadwick led the Gaels offensively with a double double, recording a game-high 23 points while adding 10 rebounds.

Laura Donovan and Bella Belvedere also scored in double digits for the Gaels, netting 19 and 12 points respectively.

Queen's outshot the Lions, 51 per cent from the floor and 38 per cent from three-point range compared to 45 per cent from the floor and 30 per cent from three-point range for York.

With the win, the Gaels improved their record to 19-1. Queen's who remains on top of the OUA East Division standings, will close out their regular season next weekend, taking on the Nipissing Lakers Friday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. in North Bay, Ont. and the Laurentian Voyageurs Friday, Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. in Sudbury, Ont.
