KINGSTON, Ont. (Dec.1,2023) - Queen's Men's Basketball walk away victorious with a buzzer beater over the Guelph Gryphons.
The lead would change eight times in this intense back-and-forth match at the ARC.
The Gaels started off strong, closing the 1st quarter with a seven-point lead. The momentum shifted in the Gryphons' favour, and they were able to hold the Gaels to a two-point lead to enter the first half. Guelph kicked it up a notch to get ahead in the third quarter. The fourth quarter had the crowd on the edge of their seats. \
Guelph was in a five-point lead. 36 seconds left on the clock, Connor Kelly scored a clutch three-pointer. In the final second, Fofo Adetogun scored the game-changing buzzer beater to put the Gaels on top. Adetogun led the Gaels offensively with 23 points.
With the win, the Gaels' record improved to 6-2. The Gaels are back in action to take on the Algoma Thunderbirds, Saturday December 1st at 8:00PM at the ARC.
