KINGSTON, Ont. (Nov. 16, 2023) - Queen's Men's Hockey pushed their winning streak to three games with a big midweek win over the RMC Paladins, defeating their crosstown rivals 5-1 Wednesday night at Memorial Centre.
Jonathan Yantsis (Markham, Ont.) scored two goals and
Christian Purboo (Oakville, Ont.) made 18 saves for a third straight win in the Gaels' four-goal win. Yantsis also had two assists for a four-point game.
Derek Hamilton (Kingston, Ont.),
Jack Duff (Kingston, Ont.), and
Alex Robert (Ottawa, Ont.) on the power play also scored for Queen's in the win.
Cameron Tolnai (Oakville, Ont.),
Dalton Duhart (Grand Blanc, Mich.), and
Jakob Brahaney (Hastings, Ont.) all recorded two assists in the win as well.
With the victory, Queen's improved their record to 9-4-0 on the season and currently sit atop the OUA East standings. The Gaels will face RMC again Friday night at RMC.
