Queen's Women's Hockey keeps winning streak alive with a 3-0 victory over Western

On Sunday afternoon, the Gaels had a crushing victory over the Mustangs in London, Ontario, with a score of 3-0.Â

Sam Wood opened the game up with a goal for Queen's eleven minutes into the first period. The Gaels continued their pressure, finishing the first period with a score of 1-0.Â

Queen's kept the momentum going, with
Mikayla Cranney scoring late in the second period, and
Emma McKnight closing the second period with a goal within the last minute of the second period.

The third period saw some pushback from the Mustangs while Queen's acquired a few penalties, however,
Emma Tennant held her own in net, with 25 shots on net. The game finished with a 3-0 score for the Gaels.

With this win, Queen's overall standings rose to 5-4-0, and the women will be back in action Friday, November 17th at the Memorial Centre in Kingston where they will take on the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks.Â
