KINGSTON, Ont. (Nov. 17, 2023) - Queen's Women's Hockey defeated the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks 3-1 Friday night at Memorial Centre, extending their winning streak to five games.
After a scoreless first period,
Emma McKnight (Dorchester, Ont.) opened the scoring for the Gaels on a goal assisted by
Sara Di Filippo (Oakville, Ont.).Â
The Ridgebacks evened the score early in the third period before goals by
Alyson Reeves (Toronto, Ont.) and
Aislin Tobin-Fretwell (Etobicoke, Ont.).
Kelsey Dunn (Sudbury, Ont.),
Rebecca Thompson (Kingston, Ont.), and
Mikayla Cranney (Aurora, Ont.) recorded assists on the third period goals.
Emma Tennant (Pointe-Claire, Que.) recorded 20 saves for the win for Queen's.
With the victory, the Gaels improved their record to 6-4-0 on the season. Queen's will complete their home-and-home series with Ontario Tech Saturday night in Oshawa, Ont.
