Queen's Men's Hockey capped their weekend series in Ottawa, Ont. with a 3-2 overtime win over the Carleton Ravens Saturday night.
Derek Hamilton (Kingston, Ont.) scored the winner for the Gaels, unassisted, five minutes into the extra frame.
Queen's opened the scoring late in the first period when
Owen Lalonde (Windsor, Ont.) found the back of the net on a goal assisted by
Daniel Michaud (Belleville, Ont.).
After the Ravens evened the score on the power play in the second period, Queen's retook the lead early in the third on a goal by
Cameron Tolnai (Oakville, Ont.), assisted by Hamilton and
Alex Robert (Ottawa, Ont.).
Carleton would even the score later in the period before Hamilton's overtime winner.
Christian Purboo (Oakville, Ont.) made 29 saves for Queen's in the win.
With the win, the Gaels improved their record to 8-4-0. Queen's will take on the RMC Paladins in a mid-week clash on Wednesday. Nov. 15 at the Memorial Centre.
