Queen's Women's Hockey fell 6-3 to the Nipissing Lakers Saturday in North Bay, Ont., the second half of their weekend series with Nipissing.

The game went back and forth through the first two periods, with the score tied 3-3 heading into the final frame before the Lakers netted three unanswered goals for the three-goal win.

Rebecca Thompson (Kingston, Ont.), Mikayla Cranney (Aurora, Ont.), and Sara Di Filippo (Oakville, Ont.) scored for Queen's in the loss. Thompson also recorded an assist for a two-point night while Sam Wood (Kingston, Ont.) finished with two assists for the Gaels.

With the loss, Queen's record dropped to 1-4 on the season. The Gaels will return to the ice next weekend, hosting the TMU Bold in a pair of games on Saturday, Nov. 4 and Sunday, Nov. 5.
