KINGSTON, Ont. (Jan. 6, 2022) - Queen's Men's Basketball kicked off the second half of their regular season with a win, defeating the Brock Badgers 83-74 Friday night at the Athletics and Recreation Centre.
With the win, the Gaels improved their record to 9-1 and remained on top of the OUA East standings.
Queen's received contributions from a number of players in the win, with Cam Bett scoring a team-high 19 points off the bench.Â

Luka Syllas, and
Connor Kelly also scored in double digits, with 15, 14, and 14 points respectively.
Luka Syllas also grabbed 11 rebounds to record a double-double in the win.
It was a back-and-forth game. The teams were deadlocked after the first quarter before Queen's took a six-point lead into halftime. The Badgers cut Queen's lead to one-point heading into the fourth quarter before the Gaels pulled away for the win.
Both teams shot 40 per cent from the floor but Queen's outshot Brock from three-point range, 39 per cent to 23 per cent.
Queen's will return to the court for a mid-week game against the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks, Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 5 p.m in Oshawa, Ont.
