KINGSTON, Ont. (Jan. 21, 2023) - Queen's Men's Basketball kicked off their second home game of the weekend defeating the Western Mustangs 107-97 Saturday night at the Athletics and Recreation Centre.

It was a back-and-forth game. While the Mustangs closed the first quarter with a 5-point lead, the Gaels managed to get ahead and carry a 2-point lead into halftime. The third quarter was another tight battle, but Queen's ended up outscoring Western by a solid 8 points. In the fourth quarter, the Gaels pulled away for the 10 point win.

Queen's had contributions from a number of players in this win, with
Cole Syllas scoring 23 points, Michael Kelvin finishing the game with a season-high of 21 points and
Connor Keefe recording 20.

With the win, the Gaels improved their record to 14-1.

Queen's will be back in action Friday January 27 at 8:00 p.m. for an away game against the Carleton Ravens in Ottawa, Ont.
