Queen's Men's Soccer opened their weekend road trip with a 6-4 win over the Laurentian Voyageurs, winning their second game in a row and improving their record to 2-2-0 on the season.

Andrea Gortana, and
Will Calne led the way offensively for the Gaels with two points each. Hempelmann-Perez (Toronto, Ont.) opened the scoring for Queen's in the 10th minute and finished with two goals. Gortana (Vaughan, Ont.) assisted on Hempelmann-Perez's opener and added the second goal less than one minute later. And Calne's (Kamloops, B.C.) goal in the 19th minute gave the Gaels an early three-goal lead.
After the Voyageurs got two back, Hempelmann-Perez's second goal of the game, in the 44th minute, gave the Gaels' a two-goal leading heading into half time.
Ethan Westbury (Vancouver, B.C.) and
Nathan Fong (Vancouver, B.C.) opened the second half with goals for the Gaels before Laurentian netted two more late in the game.
Matt Lee (Surrey, B.C.) finished the game with an assist for Queen's.
Queen's is back in action for the second half of their weekend doubleheader on Sunday, Sept. 25 against the Nipissing Lakers.
