Queen's Men's Volleyball opened their U SPORTS Men's Volleyball Championship with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-20) loss to the Alberta Golden Bears in the quarterfinals Friday in Winnipeg, Man.

Cole Duncanson (St. Catherines, Ont.) led the Gaels in kills with eight, while adding three blocks and one ace. Duncanson was named the Player of the Game for Queen's for his efforts.

Ben Moffat (Kingston, Ont.) added a team-high 19 assists and six digs.

With the loss, Queen's will play in the Consolation Semifinals against the McMaster Marauders Saturday at 1:30 p.m. EST.
