Queen's Men's Basketball's last second chance fell short as they fell to the No. 3 Ottawa Gee-Gees 72-70 in overtime in Ottawa, Ont. Saturday night.
The loss was the Gaels' second in a row to the Gee-Gees this weekend, and dropped their record to 5-2 on the season. Ottawa remained undefeated, moving to 8-0 wiht the win.
Cole Syllas (Kingston, Ont.) led Queen's in the losing effort, finishing with a double-double. Syllas had a game-high 25 points and 13 rebounds.Â
Cameron Bett (Staines-Upon-Thames, England) also scored in double digits for the Gaels with 13 points.
Guillaume Pépin led Ottawa in the win with 24 points.
The Gaels return to the court Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 8 p.m. in Oshawa, Ont. against the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks.
