Nine Queen's Football players named OUA All-Stars

KINGSTON, Ont. (Nov. 10, 2022) - Nine Queen's Football players were named OUA All-Stars by the conference at the OUA Awards Banquet in Hamilton, Ont. on Thursday.

Receiver Richard Burton, offensive linemen Jas Khaira and Evan Floren, defensive linemen Darien Newell and Silas Hubert, defensive back Ashton Miller-Melancon, and kicker Tyler Mullan were named OUA First Team All-Stars while offensive lineman Ryan Berta and Special Teams player Raheem Balogun Jr. were named OUA Second Team All-Stars. Mullan was also named to the OUA All-Rookie Team.

"We are all really proud of the OUA all-star recognition our program received this year, it's a credit these young men and their teammates, but also our strength staff and positional coaches," said Head Coach Steve Snyder. "Our student-athletes are put in positions to be successful and develop each day. When you have guys that work as hard as the guys we have and who buy in the way they do, special things can happen for your unit and your team and that ultimately is what leads to multiple OUA All-Stars. When you win you receive more recognition for the individuals. We will always be a line of scrimmage team and a team first team, but this time of the year its great to add more all-stars to our all-time legacy. These young men have engraved their names into our history and also the history books of the OUA and it was earned and well deserved."
