Queen's Women's Basketball used a strong third quarter to pull away from the Laurier Golden Hawks and capture a 76-67 win on the road in Waterloo, Ont. Friday to remain undefeated on the season.

Laurier held a one-point lead at half time before the Gaels outscored the Golden Hawks 24-12 in the third quarter to take an 11-point lead into the fourth quarter, and held on for the nine-point win.

Julia Chadwick had another strong game for Queen's, recording a massive double double with 21 points and a game-high 22 rebounds.

Four other Gaels scored in double digits in the win with Laura Donovan scoring 14 points, Bridget Mulholland and Bella Gaudet scoring 13 points each, and Bella Belvedere adding 10 points. Mulholland also recorded a double double, adding 12 rebounds against the Golden Hawks.

Queen's outshot Laurier from the floor, 36.5 per cent to 28.6 per cent, and finished with 42 points in the paint to the Golden Hawks' 24.

Queen's, now 7-0 on the season, will wrap up their road doubleheader Saturday against the Waterloo Warriors.
