KINGSTON, Ont. (Nov. 19, 2022) - Queen's Women's Hockey returned to the win Saturday night, defeating the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks 3-1 at the Memorial Centre.

Falling to the Ridgebacks the night before, our Gaels were able to come up on top at home. The game started slow with no goals being scored in the first period. The second period was far from slow with Ontario Tech opening the scoring in the in the 12
th minute, but Queen's came back, scoring two quick goals in the 16
th and the final minute of the period.

There were three different goal scorers in the game with Alexandra Maw,
Kelsey Dunn, and
Quinn Johnston all getting one behind the Ridgebacks goalie.

Both goalies had busy nights, with Gaels
Vanessa Campeau having a total of 22 saves and the Ridgebacks Brooke Vial 34.

With the win, the Gaels now stand 5-5-0 on the season.

The Queen's Women's Hockey team will stay at home where they will take on the Nipissing Lakers for back-to-back action next weekend. First game will take place Saturday, November 26
th at 7:30 p.m., followed by a 2:30 p.m. start Sunday, November 27
th. Both games will be at the Memorial Centre and also available to stream at oua.tv.
