KINGSTON, Ont. (Nov. 18, 2022) - Queen's Women's Basketball defeated the Carleton Ravens 71-65 in a battle of U SPORTS Top 10 ranked teams Friday at the Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC).Â
It was a hard fight until the end for the Gaels Friday with their second closest game of the season, eventually winning by six points. Julia Chadwick topped the scoreboard with 18 points and 18 rebounds on the night. Laura Donovan and Isabella Belvedere were close behind with 14 and 13 points respectively.
The Gaels were 16 for 20 on their free-throws.Â
Speaking with Chadwick after the game, she added this win "definitely gives us confidence, but we still have a lot of tough games ahead, so we have to stay dialed in". In terms of their play, Julia highlighted "we really focused on being the aggressors and pushing the ball, and that worked well for us."
With the win, the Gaels improved their record to 5-0 on the season, while the previously undefeated Ravens fell to 4-1 with the loss.Â
