Four players scored in double digits as Queen's Women's Basketball edged the McMaster Marauders 79-76 Sunday in Hamilton, Ont. to continue their undefeated run to start the regular season.
With the win, the Gaels improved their record to 4-0 and sit tied atop the OUA East standings.
Laura Donovan,
Bridget Mulholland,
Julia Chadwick, and
Emma Weltz led the way offensively for the Gaels, all scoring in double digits. Donovan finished with a team-high 18 points while Mulholland poured in 16 points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds. Chadwick recorded 14 points and Weltz added 13 points in the win.
Queen's jumped out to a six-point lead after the first quarter and held on to the small lead the rest of the way for the win.
The Gaels are back on the court Friday, Nov. 18, when they will host the Carleton Ravens at the Athletics and Recreation Centre at 6 p.m.
