Queen's Men's Rugby defeat Laurier to finish regular season undefeated

Queen's Men's Rugby finished the OUA regular season undefeated after a 52-31 win over the Laurier Golden Hawks Sunday at Waterloo, Ont.

Laurier opened the scoring and led 19-10 14 minutes into the first half, before the Gaels scored the next 21 points to take a 31-19 lead into half time. Queen's would not relinquish the lead on their way to the 21-point victory.

Cameron Lyman led the way for the Gaels offensively, finishing with one try, five conversions, and one drop goal for 18 points in the win.

Tom Kirkwood added two tries in the win while Aiden Emmens, Connor Hay, Dan Svoboda, and Evan Curd all recorded one try each. James Webb had two conversions for Queen's in the win.

With the win, the Gaels finished the OUA regular season a perfect 6-0 and atop the OUA standings. Queen's earned a bye through to the second round of the OUA Playoffs.
