KINGSTON, Ont. (Jan. 10, 2022) - Queen's Football defensive end Anthony Federico will be participating in the 2022 College Gridiron Showcase in Fort Worth, Texas this week.

Federico (Niagara Falls, Ont.) is one of 10 U SPORTS players participating in the event.

The College Gridiron Showcase is the first major scouting showcase of the college football post-season and runs from Jan. 8-12. According to the College Gridiron Showcase, scouts from the NFL, CFL, and other pro leagues will be in attendance, and since the inaugural CGS event in 2015, more than 600 participants have received professional opportunities.

The CGS features practices where invites will perform individual drills, team drills, and 1-on-1s, and a controlled scrimmage.

In his fourth season with the Gaels this fall, Federico finished the regular season with 25 tackles and an OUA-leading seven sacks in six games. He added another eight tackles and a sack in the OUA Playoffs.

Federico was named an OUA First Team All-Star and U SPORTS Second Team All-Canadian this season.
