Jenna Matsukubo recorded a goal and an assist to help lead Queen's Women's Soccer past the Carleton Ravens 2-0 Sunday, Sept. 26 at Richardson Stadium. With the win, Queen's swept their weekend series with Carleton and started the year 2-0.
Matsukubo (Ottawa, Ont.) opened the scoring for Queen's in the eighth minute on a goal assisted by Raya (White Rock, BC).
Cecilia Way (Victoria, BC) scored in the 69
th minute, her third goal of the season, to give Queen's the two-goal victory.
Kirstin Tynan (North Vancouver, BC) was in net for another clean sheet to start the season.
Queen's Women's Soccer is back in action Friday, Oct. 1 for a night game at Richardson Stadium against the Trent Excalibur.
