Queen's Men's Hockey improved their record to 8-0-1 heading into the holiday break with a 5-1 win over the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks Saturday in Oshawa, Ont.
With the win, the Gaels finished the first half of the season as the only team to record a point in every game of the season.
Queen's scored the first five goals of the game before the Ridgebacks netted one late in the third period to spoil the shutout for
Luke Richardson (Barrie, Ont.). Richardson finished the game with 30 saves in the win.
Ryan Cranford (Embrun, Ont.) had a goal and two assists and
Jonathan Yantsis (Markham, Ont.) had three assists to lead the Gaels' offensive effort in the win with three points each.
Hayden Fowler (Kingston, Ont.) and
Duncan Campbell (Brandon, Man.) finished the game with two assists each.

Holden Katzalay (West Vancouver, B.C.),
Liam Dunda (Grimsby, Ont.), and
Josh Curtis (Winnipeg, Man.).
The Gaels will return to action Friday, Jan. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Memorial Centre, hosting the RMC Paladins.
