Queen's Women's Basketball will head into the holiday break with a 3-2 record after falling to the Rams 71-62 Saturday in Toronto, Ont.
Julia Chadwick (Ottawa, Ont.), and
Sophie de Goede (Victoria, B.C.) led the Gaels, each recording a double-double. Chadwick had game-highs in points (20) and rebounds (15), while de Goede recorded 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Emma Weltz (Timmins, Ont.) also scored in double digits, finishing the game with 14 points.
Queen's shot 36 per cent from the field (24-67) and 25 per cent from three-point range (5-20), while the Rams finished the game shooting 45 per cent from the field (29-64) and 23 per cent from three-point range (6-26).
The Gaels will return to the court after the holiday break to take on the Toronto Varsity Blues on Saturday, Jan. 8 at 5 p.m. at the ARC.
