Queen's Women's Hockey lost 4-1 to the Nipissing Lakers Saturday at Memorial Centre.
With the loss, the Gaels' record fell to 0-2. Nipissing's record improved to 2-0 with the win.
Nipissing scored two goals in the first period and two in the second to build a four-goal lead. Queen's would gert one back in the third period, when
Quinn Johnston found the back of the net on a goal assisted by Scout Watkins-Southward.
Makenzy Arsenault finished the game with 33 saves for Queen's. The Gaels finished with 30 shots on net.
Queen's is back in action next weekend with a home-and-home series against the Toronto Varsity Blues. The Gaels will take on the Varsity Blues in Toronto on Friday, Nov. 12 at 5 p.m. before hosting Toronto on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Memorial Centre.
