Queen's Men's Hockey defeated the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks 5-1 Saturday in Oshawa, Ont. to improve their record to 6-0-1. The Gaels lead the OUA East with 13 points, four points clear of the Ridgebacks, who are in second place in the division.
Josh Curtis (Winnipeg, Man.) led the way for Queen's with a hat trick and an assist while
Holden Katzalay (West Vancouver, B.C.) and
Hayden Fowler (Kingston, Ont.) recorded a goal and an assist each and
Jonathan Yantsis (Markham, Ont.) finished with assists on four of the Gaels' five goals.Â
Nolan Hutcheson (Kingston, Ont.),
Graeme Brown (Gananoque, Que.), and
Trevor Longo (North Vancouver, B.C.) added assists for Queen's in the win.
Luke Richardson (Barrie, Ont.) made 19 saves for the Gaels.
Queen's returns to the ice next weekend, hosting the Nipissing Lakers Friday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Centre, before visiting the Ridgebacks on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m.
