Queen's Women's Basketball swept their weekend doubleheader with the Laurentian Voyageurs with a 73-69 win Saturday at the ARC.

After beating Laurentian by 41 points on Friday, the Gaels got by the Voyageurs by just four points Saturday, improving their record to start the season to 3-1.

Julia Chadwick (Ottawa, Ont.) led Queen's with a game-high 30 points and 11 rebounds. Sophie de Goede (Victoria, B.C.), appearing in her first game with Queen's Women's Basketball this season, also recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Emma Weltz (Timmins, Ont.) also scored in double figures for the Gaels, recording 12 points in the win.

Queen's shot 33 per cent from the floor (23-69) and 25.7 per cent from three-point range (9-35). Laurentian shot 51.1 per cent from the floor (24-47) and 37.5 per cent from three-point range (6-16) in the loss.

Queen's has one more game before the winter break, taking on the Rams in Toronto, Ont. on Dec. 4 at 3 p.m.
