Concordia wins big over RMC to advance to Consolation Final at Canadian University Men’s Rugby Championship

(Kingston, Ont.) – The Concordia Stingers advanced to the Consolation Final at the Canadian University Men's Rugby Championship (CUMRC) with a 60-3 win over the RMC Paladins Friday, Nov. 26 at Nixon Field.

After leading 17-3 at half time, Concordia scored 43 unanswered points in the second half on their way to a 57-point victory.

Arthur Du Chaffaut opened the scoring for the Stingers with a penalty convert in the seventh minute, and led Concordia in scoring with one try, six converts, and one penalty convert for 20 points in the game.

Cam Pow had two tries for the Stingers while JC Vinette, Aidan McMullan, Brendan McKenzie, Luca Milne, Luca Scarra, and Andrew Agoustis all added one try for Concordia in the win.

Glenn Butler scored RMC's lone points of the game with a penalty convert in the 28th minute.

Tom Artmann was named the Player of the Game for Concordia and Brendan Scrivo was named the Player of the Game for RMC.

With the win, Concordia will play in the Consolation Final on Sunday, Nov. 28 against the winner of the second Consolation Semifinal between Dalhousie Men's Rugby and the Calgary Dinos on Friday at 2 p.m. RMC will finish their CUMRC in the seventh place game on Sunday against the loser of Consolation Semifinal 2.
