Queen's Women's Basketball improved their record to 2-1 after defeating the Laurentian Voyageurs 87-46 on Friday, in the first game of a doubleheader at the ARC this weekend.

Bridget Mulholland (Kingston, Ont.) led all scorers and finished with a double double for the Gaels with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Emma Ritcey (Orillia, Ont.) and Laura Donovan (London, Ont.) also finished in double figures in scoring for Queen's with 15 and 12 points respectively, while Julia Chadwick (Ottawa, Ont.) recorded 10 rebounds.

Queen's shot 35 per cent from the floor (27-77) and 36 per cent from three point range (11-31) on the night, while holding the Voyageurs to 26 per cent from the floor (16-62) and 11 per cent from three point range (2-18).

The two teams will meet again Saturday, Nov. 27 at 2:30 p.m. at the ARC.
