Queen's Men's Soccer draws Ontario Tech in second straight game

Queen's Men's Soccer played Ontario Tech to a 1-1 draw Saturday at Richardson Stadium, their second straight draw against the Ridgebacks and fourth straight game earning at least one point. Queen's is now 2-2-2 on the season after the draw.

After the two teams were scoreless in the first half, Ontario Tech's Christopher Campoli opened the scoring in the 49th minute, giving the Ridgebacks a 1-0 lead.

Queen's responded in the 64th minute when Andrea Gortana (Vaughan, Ont.) scored the equalizer.

Ontario Tech had seven shots on goal Saturday, with Gaels goalkeeper Tyler Gowdy (Ottawa, Ont.) recording six saves. Queen's finished the game with eight shots and five on goal.

Queen's is back in action next weekend, Saturday, Oct. 16 against the RMC Paladins in Kingston, Ont.
