Queen's Women's Soccer blanked their cross-town rivals, the RMC Paladins, 4-0 Sunday in Kingston, Ont. to remain undefeated on the season. With the win, the Gaels, who entered the weekend ranked No. 5 in the U SPORTS Top 10, improved their record to 6-0-0 on the season. The loss dropped RMC's record to 0-6-1.
Jamie Foot (North Vancouver, BC) opened the scoring for Queen's scoring the only goal of the first half on a penalty kick in the 20th minute.
The Gaels blew the game open in a span of eight minutes early in the second half.
Christie Gray (Vancouver, BC) doubled Queen's lead in the 60th minute with her fifth goal of the season while
Jenna Matsukubo (Ottawa, Ont.) scored her fourth goal of the season just three minutes later and
Nyah Slusarenko (Ottawa, Ont.) notched her first goal of the year in the 67th minutes to give Queen's the four-goal win.
Queen's held RMC without a shot to give Kirsten Tynan (North Vancouver, BC) her sixth win of the season and fifth clean sheet.
The Gaels return to action next weekend with two games. Queen's will play the Ottawa Gee-Gees in Ottawa, Ont. Friday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. before hosting the RMC Paladins Sunday, Oct. 24 at 1 p.m. at Richardson Stadium.
