Windsor, Ont, (January 18, 2020) – The Queens Gaels (8-3) took on the Windsor Lancers (6-5) this Saturday evening in a hard-fought clean set sweep 3-0.

The Gaels hit the Lancers home court seemingly evenly matched. The Gaels laid the offense on heavy in the first set, as Queen's outside hitter
Zac Hutcheson led the attack. Hutcheson has set a precedent of consistency on offense this season and that continued this evening with a match total of 12 kills and 5 digs. The Gaels took the set 28-26.
The second set saw more adversity for the both teams respectively.
Julian Krygel was a valuable addition to the Gaels offense and defense that characterized the second set. Krygel recorded a total of eight kills and one solo block and the Gaels managed to hold onto the second set 25-22.
Adam Boljkovac did not go unnoticed by the Lancers. Boljkovac's swing speed was no match for the Lancers defense, completing a match total of 13 kills. Following tense a point-for-point final moments of the third set, the Gaels ultimately took home the set 25-21. Finishing off the match will a cool 3-0 clean sweep.
