KINGSTON, Ont. (February 8, 2019) – The No.9 Queen's Gaels (13-3) picked up a three-set sweep over the RMC Paladins (1-15) in their final road game of the regular season.
GAME FLOW
It was a quick start for the Gaels as they pounced on the Paladins in the opening set on their way to a 25-18 win. The Gaels had no errors in the opening, which was key in securing a 1-0 set advantage.
Although the Paladins brought things a little closer in the second set, the Gaels were still able to come away with a 25-20 second set win. The Gaels have only dropped one match this season after taking the opening two sets, which came November 3 against the Toronto Varsity Blues.
The third and final set went in favour of the Gaels 25-18 securing their 13
th win of the season. It is the Gaels highest win total since the 2015-16 season where they went 15-5.
OUA EAST'S TOP SPOT IN SIGHT
The Gaels hold a commanding lead in the OUA East and have a favourable schedule down the stretch, which includes a rematch against the RMC Paladins at the ARC.
Another win over their final three games would secure the top seed in the OUA East heading into the upcoming playoffs.

The Gaels are back home next weekend for a single matchup against the Trent Excalibur (0-13) at the ARC. Game time is set 3:00pm on Sunday, February 17.
